COVID-19

This area of the St. Mark’s website is going to be dedicated to our response to the COVID-19 or Coronavirus Pandemic. This section will be updated as and when we have more information to share, last updated 1100, 18 March 2020.

Whats going on just now?

On Tuesday 17th March, following the latest advice from the Church of Scotland, the following measures were taken.

Church Worship and Activities

All worship services including St. Mark’s @ Sainsburys and Ark Roadshow are now suspended.

Church Groups including Bible Study, Ladies Groups, Kidzone are also suspended.

All Easter Services including Holy Week services are cancelled.

These decisions have not been taken lightly but with the intention of protecting all with whom we come into contact.

Hall User Groups

In consultation with our Hall User Groups, some have taken the decision to suspend their groups for the time being. Others offering essential services will remain open for as long as possible. These are:

AA   Sundays 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Forth Valley Recovery Womens Cafe have suspended all routine meetings but may organise a pop up meeting.

As always, the Ministry Team can be contacted by phone, email or through our Facebook Page. Details are on our Contacts page.

WHAT NEXT?

We appreciate that any of these changes will affect church life as we know it. We are providing a short Sunday service online at 11am. We also are doing short daily reflection sessions at 11am Monday to Friday

For those who are self-isolating, working from home or trying to keep children occupied, we hope to provide some words of encouragement and prayers as well as activities for families to share.

HOW TO STAY UPDATED

We aim to keep everyone as informed as possible in a changing situation. Our website team are working hard to ensure this and will provide updates as we have them. Check out our website and social media pages to stay up to date.
