Forthbank Sing-along Service
We will be visiting Forthbank Nursing Home for our monthly Hymn sing along service on Tuesday 6th November at 2pm if you would like to come along we will meet in the enterance foyer of Forthbank just before 2pm.
St. Mark’s @ Sainsbury’s Planning Meeting
The St. Mark’s @ Sainsbury’s team will meet on Tuesday 6th November at 3.30pm in the small hall to plan our upcoming St. Mark’s @ Sainsbury’s services, if you would like to help out please come along and join the team we do need more people to help with our St. Mark’s @ Sainsbury’s services, all are welcome.
1-2-1 Home Group – “We believe…. what?”
Our 1-2-1 Home Group will meet on Tuesday 6th November at 5.30pm. If you are interested in finding out more about following Jesus or joining St. Mark’s as a church member please come along. We will be sharing in our new study “We believe…what?” This session is called “I am……..am I”.
Pause with Poppies open event
The next Pause with Poppies open event will be on Wednesday 7th November in the Church, we will have our craft space with materials to make a poppy for our public display, the Church will be open from 1.30pm to 3.30pm please come along.
St. Mark’s Explorers
Our new youth group for P1 and Ps children will be on from 4.30pm to 5.30pm on Wednesday 7th November in the Church halls, if you know any children who would like to come along and have fun please bring them along.
Super Group will meet on Wednesday at 6.30pm in the Church halls for all children in P3 to P7. If you know any children who would like to come along and have fun please bring them along.
Priority Areas “Big Conversation” event
The Priority Areas Big Conversation will take place between Tuesday 6th November, 10am and Wednesday 7th November, 2.30pm at the Erskin Bridge Hotel. If you would like to go along please speak to David Russell.
The Kirk Session will meet on Thursday 8th November at 7pm in the small hall.
We are needing volunteers to assist with serving the remembrance teas at the church on Friday 9th November following the annual Rememberance service at the Village Square. If you can help please let Jean or Claire know.
Pause with Poppies: A Rememberance Display
To mark 100 years since the Armistice which signed the end to World War One, Claire and her team are creating a display of poppies in our garden. The display will be exhibited from Friday 9th November to Sunday 11th November, to coincide with the Service of Remembrance. There will also be a indoor display of poppies, stories, pictures and poetry.
A great deal of work has gone into this display already, please encourage family and friends to visit. Come along yourself and if you are avaliable, volunteer to man the indoor display for 1 hour on Saturday to allow us to keep the display open for as long as possible.
The Link magazine deadline is Sunday 11th November please have ALL articles to James or John by then so they can be included in the Christmas issue of the Link.
A reminder that The Call will be available between the hours of 12 noon – 12.30 p.m. today and between 1.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th November. During that time, any person whose name is on the Electoral Register of the congregation may sign the Call in person or by means of a mandate. A Paper of Concurrence will also be available for signature by any person who is connected with the congregation but whose name is not on the Electoral Register of the congregation. Children are also welcome to add their names to this paper.
