Good morning, we aren’t going to have our Daily Reflection session today but we are going to still offer a brief prayer for the day. This week it will only be a written one but, who knows, we may see a few others joining in with a different prayer each week.
This is our first Saturday Prayer, it has been written by our web editor James Stewart.
We confess our need for you today. We need your healing and your grace. We need hope restored. We need to be reminded that you work on behalf of those you love, constantly, powerfully, completely.
Lord, we ask you that you guide our leaders, advisers, doctors, nurses, carers and all those doing their bit to help. May they be blessed with the gifts that will help them. May they be comforted as they work to help others and may they know you are there, by their side.
We ask you for your healing and grace for all those who are sick, not just those affected by this virus, may you help comfort them during this time.
We ask you to sit with those who have lost someone from their life recently, whether they have lost sight of family and friends due to being isolated or they have suffered the loss of a loved one through death. Please be with them and comfort them in this time of darkness and loneliness. Show them that there is still light and guide them to it.
Lord, let your light continue to shine in us all, and now Lord, in a moment of silence we pray for our family, friends and neighbours….
Lord hear our prayers, both those spoken and those that are silent. Help those we have named and provide them with your comfort and strength.
Remember to put your clocks forward tonight.
We would like, once again, to invite you to join us in our shared online worship service tomorrow at 11 am on our Facebook page . For those who can’t join us on Facebook, we will share the service here on our website and on our YouTube channel shortly after.
