Good morning, welcome to our creative activity for this week. We hope you all enjoy this as it is a special one that we will come back too.
We are going to he planting some seeds to grow some vegetables or flowers if you wish. We suggest peas or cress as they are nice and easy to grow.
What you need to do is get a small pot or tub, some compost and some seeds.
Here at the St. Mark’s we have a few keen gardeners and we are going to be trying to convince one to let us have a corner of their greenhouse and garden so our web team can get in on this activity. (Yes our web team won’t be able to visit it just now but I’m sure we can make it work with photos)
Anyway once you have your pot, compost and seeds follow the instructions on the packet of seeds to plant them.
Once you have done that place them on kitchen window sill and keep an eye on them remember to water them and hopefully we will see them grow.
Now not very creative you may think but what you can do now is create a label for what you are growing, also make a small booklet up and we are going to use this to record what’s going on with our plants.
You can decorate the front cover as you like and on the first page draw what you have done to plant the seeds.
Now you can’t grow anything well don’t worry, have a look outside what plants do you see near your home, your neghibour may have a lovely Rose Bush or a tree or even a lovely garden, you could make up the booklet and draw the changes you see in the garden.
We hope you find this activity interesting to do and remember all our activities are for all ages.
Now, we know you will want to share your pictures, drawings, crafts and even puzzles with us. If you do please take a photo of them and post them on the Raploch Connected Facebook Group.
